Exploring Upper Chitral can be a logistical challenge — and that’s part of what makes the region so special. The valleys are remote, the mountains are vast, and reaching the most remarkable places often requires a bit of local knowledge.

Here are some services we offer at the guesthouse that may be helpful during your stay.
- Driver and jeep arrangements: We can arrange trusted drivers and vehicles for travel throughout Upper Chitral and beyond, including remote valleys, villages, and trailheads.
- Motorbike rentals: Explore the region independently by renting a motorbike through our local contacts. Rentals are 3,000 PKR per day, with a refundable 6,000 PKR deposit in case of damage.
- ATM cash withdrawals: Functional ATMs — especially those that accept foreign cards — are few and far between in Upper Chitral. To make things easier, guests can send money to our Wise or Revolut account and we will withdraw the cash locally on your behalf. We charge a small service fee of 200 PKR per 15,000 PKR withdrawal to cover transfer costs. For comparison, typical ATM fees in the region are 700–1,000 PKR per withdrawal.
- Laundry service: Laundry can be arranged for guests staying at the guesthouse. Our nearby laundromat charges 100 PKR per clothing item. We do not yet have a washing machine at the guesthouse, but guests are welcome to handwash garments here. We’re happy to provide warm water and detergent free of charge.
- Outdoor adventure guide connections: Some of the region’s best outdoor guides live right here in Booni. We can connect you with experienced guides for trekking, climbing, wildlife spotting, motorbiking, paragliding, horseback riding, and more. We’re happy to help coordinate and communicate with guides to ensure you receive a fair price and a safe, well-organized adventure.
- Gear & bag storage: Traveling light for a trek or expedition? Guests can safely store bags and equipment at the guesthouse. We do not charge for this service.
- Packed lunches for day trips: We can prepare simple packed lunches and snack bags (i.e., dried fruit, nuts, and other local snacks) for travelers heading out early for hikes or long journeys. We ask 700 PKR for packed lunches and 500 PKR for snack bags.
- Local travel advice: Knowledge is free. We’re always happy to share tips about hidden valleys, festivals, hikes, and places worth exploring around Booni.
